The inaugural Unlimited: Designing for the Asia Pacific was held from 4-10 October 2010 in Brisbane, Queensland.
A week-long program of public talks, workshops, exhibitions, a business symposium, and a series of master classes and youth events.
Haus: welcome home, Based on the macabre fairy tale ‘the three little pigs’, this project by Derlot was designed as a meeting place and a conversation point. Three little houses, each evoking different references to domesticity, intimacy and materiality, were strategically placed within the State Library of Queensland.
The 2010 program of talks, exhibitions, workshops and satellite events offered a fresh perspective on design under the 2010 theme of Opportunity. Most events were free and address complex future challenges – from urbanization, transport and food production to health and education.
CJ Lim, Professor of Architecture and Cultural Design, Bartlett School of Architecture, Founder Studio 8 Architects, and Keynote Speaker
