Massive clean up begins in Brisbane's South Bank

Good to see the Brisbane CBD is getting back to business as best it can. Brisbane workers and residents are now facing a huge task of assessment of damage and safety issues, clean up and phased reinstatement of services is now underway in South Bank, Brisbane's arts precinct, as flood waters start to recede.

These shots were taken in the open areas around Queensland Art Gallery, Queensland Gallery of Modern Art, Queensland Performing Arts Centre, State Library of Queensland.

Volunteers and Brisbane City Council, start to clean up.

The clean-up is expected to take months but it has begun, the heart of Brisbane is slowly starting to beat again!
