French Festival + Art & Vintage Expo!!!!!
What a fantastic Saturday!!! So much to see around Brisbane this 14th of July!!! Myself & Lana decided not to miss a thing!!!
Meeting at South Bank Parklands to have a taste of France. The French Festival 2012 was a hype of activity, showcasing first class French entertainment all day including cancan, roving performers, fashion parades and artists.
Second destination, the Brisbane Convention Centre for the most FANTASTIC Brisbane Art Expo, an exciting brand-new event to foster continued growth of all facets of the arts and the public’s interest in them. Such a great source of inspiration!!!!
A quick visit to the Love Vintage show.

not just another Sunday ...
Not only the weather was divinely sunny and warm, but also the good company (thanks Andrew :) and the new Art exhibitions, create just the perfect Sunday.
Chai Lattes are a gateway to everything good and holy!!!
Fly Away Home has been thoughtfully designed by artist Fiona Hall, with young and older children in mind. There are themes of migration of both humans and birds to be explored. Thoughts of seasonal re-location float through our conversation and the need to protect the environment for the future.
A little paper bag full of inspirational materials to make a bird and nest is presented - recycled paper, paper cup, special "money" and a bird outline. Then we walk into an amazing nest-like room to sit at friendly activity stations full of pens, scissors, sticky tape and glue. Heaven indeed.
There are plenty of fascinating bird facts to read while you craft a birdy creation. At the end, you can give your creation a name, take your bird home, or place it in a wall niche to donate to the exhibition.
Andrew's perfectly inspired :)
As we recover, remember, reflect and rebuild, Floodlines: a living memory pays tribute to the resilience and community spirit of Queenslanders, in the face of devastating natural disasters of the summer of 2010–11.
