The first and official night of the Brisbane Festival 2012
Welcome to Country delivered the most fitting opening ceremony for Brisbane’s largest festival and celebration of the city’s Indigenous communities.
One of the best traditional Indigenous dance by Nunukal Yuggera Traditional Dance Troupe.
Followed by the most talented contemporary Aboriginal Centre for Performing Arts students, choreographed by renowned artist Albert David.
And we venture into the night, with the magic of the sounds of the night, soft jazz and a glass of sparkling rose under the soft light of paper lanterns, and the amazing performs of La Soireé.
And the night ends, with the Santos GLNG City of Lights illuminate the Brisbane river in a new light, laser and special effects.
