The Cape Byron Lighthouse and trail

The Cape Byron Lighthouse is Australia's most easterly light being situated on the most easterly point of the mainland. It is also Australia's most powerful Lighthouse.

The lighthouse museum, located in the base of the lighthouse itself, is open to the public 7 days a week from 10am - 4pm and is run by volunteers. Now, time to explore the walking track right round Cape Byron. Spectacular views are to be had in all directions from the headland.

The big blue Pacific Ocean divides here at the meeting of the Tasman and Coral Seas.

The Julian Rocks were named second in the top 10 snorkel spots in all of Australia by Australian Geographic.

Byron Bay's iconic lighthouse sits atop the most easterly point of Australia's mainland, a guide to ships and a beacon in the community.
