Opening night Cocktail Party

The Brisbane Rotary Art Spectacular is regarded as one of Queensland’s most prestigious art exhibition. Hosted annually by the Rotary Clubs of Stones Corner,Hamilton and  Brisbane High-Rise.

All funds raised from the exhibition go toward youth-based projects and Rotary Community Projects in Brisbane. The beneficiaries of the 2014 Brisbane Rotary Art Spectacular are:

• AEIOU Foundation
• Rotary Oceania Medical Aid for Children (ROMAC)
• Rotary Community Projects

The Brisbane Rotary Art Spectacular features prominent and up and coming Australian artists, all carefully selected by the curator.

The ten day exhibition opens to the public for viewing and purchasing of high quality artwork on Thursday 3 April 2014 and continues until Saturday 12 April at the Riverside Centre.

The prominent location in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD ensures that a large group of the business elite visits the exhibition at least once during the display period.

In 2013 more than 35,000 people visited the Brisbane Rotary Art Spectacular, with record art sales of $130,000 and raising over $90,000 combined for the beneficiaries.

A couple of days with Mom and Angie.

Mom invited Angie and I, for a couple of days exploration away from the city. We ventured into New South Wales the state’s second most visited location, Byron Bay. We were very surprised, and please, to find our journey only took a tad more than two hours by car.

Byron Bay has an excellent reputation for fresh seafood amongst both locals and holiday visitors.
