The Queen has listened to the harrowing stories of victims of the deadly Queensland floods during a day trip to the state capital Brisbane. The January 2011 floods, were the worst natural disaster to hit Queensland for almost 40 years. At the height of the crisis, three-quarters of the state were declared a disaster area.
