Tim Burton’s - Sweeney Todd

I was finally able to watch Tim Burton’s Sweeney Todd, a Lyon, last night with a friend, hats off - rather, heads off - to Tim Burton once again. It was gripping. Perfectly horrible.

I knew i had to watch it in the cinema. This is not something you watch in a dvd, unless you have a kick ass home entertainment system. He has creatively merged gore, fantasy, and a bit of comedy which will leave you reaching out for a hankie feeling blood is spewed all over you. High contrast, the all out feeling of gloom through out the movie, and swooping camera shots that he has made to be Tim Burton through and through.

I’m reluctant to say that it was beautiful in all of its horrifying glory.

Arriver, se garer, s'emerveiller.Acheter un ticket et entrer dans l'Abbaye. Monter, descendre suivre les marches, enfiler les salles et les chapelles, s'attarder au refectoire, deambuler dans le scriptorium, se diriger vers l'eglise, entrer, ecouter le vent, laisser tomber la pluie.





Remercier Christophe pour son echarpe, poser un bisou sur sa joue, s'arreter a l'auberge, boire un chocolat chaud, regagner la voiture trempés jusqu'aux os. Le Mont sous la tempête, je trouve cet endroit magnifique.

i finished reading Ken Follett new book World Without End, which was pretty fun. (l'édition française, Un Monde Sans Fin, sera probablement publiée en France en octobre 2008.)

World Without End (Un monde sans Fin) is the sequel to The Pillars of the Earth (Les Piliers de la Terre) which i read in french. however, it doesn’t matter which you read first. the 2nd book is set in the same town, Kingsbridge, but takes place two hundred years later, and features the descendants of the original characters.

i just fall in love with this totally unique and totally fun Lensbabies. it's like magic, they are such an artistic tools, like paint brushes. i think i'll start with the the 2.0 and get the Macro Kit, my new toy wish for 2008.
